Human Resources and Safety Advisor The District of Lake Country is seeking a permanent full-time Human Resources and Safety Advisor to join their team. The Human Resources and Safety Advisor will administer day-to-day human resource activities and work with managers, employees and their representatives to develop and foster effective working relationships. This position is accountable for a variety of human resource activities including staffing, planning and administration, employee relations, safety, training and development, and compensation. This position will be responsible for the overall development and coordination of safety programs within the District of Lake Country. Fostering relationships with staff and management will be a key success factor for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a degree in Human Resources or a related field, four years of experience in the human resources or labour relations settings, preferably in a unionized environment. A strong understanding of WorkSafe BC regulations and experience in developing and managing a safety program is required. The salary will commensurate to the position and to the candidate and we offer a comprehensive benefit package.
